About Jen

Stories have marked the passage of my life: from the little girl entranced by visits through C.S. Lewis’ Narnia, to the college English major who journeyed across many lands and times in literature like Snow Flower and the Secret Fan or Things Fall Apart, to the adult who fell in love and identified with the experiences and perspectives of poets Pablo Neruda and Mary Oliver. Stories continuously teach me lessons and allow me to understand myself, other people, our world. 

Reading, my persistent passion, led me to teaching, my rewarding profession over the last 25 years. Sharing literature with my high school students, teaching them to uncover the tools authors use to reveal their truths, and unlocking and speculating on author motivation have reinforced the intricate craft and the lasting impact of a well-told story.

Even as I have immersed myself in literature throughout life, I have been most inspired and reinvigorated by the stories not bound by the pages of a book: the stories of the people I have met on my travels through life and of the loved ones I have been blessed to know.

Milestone Memory books are the nearest to my heart, and each book is designed personally, and in collaboration with you, to be sure that I produce a book that reflects the unique and beloved person honored or the event celebrated.

For most coaching, proofreading, or editing services, my cost is $50/hour.
